since flying by air was of comparable price as that of taking a bus down south to spore, i decided to give airasia a shot - i have to admit, the prospects of reaching spore in a fraction of time i used to spend was pretty attractive..
well, on the whole, the airasia flight i was on wasn't that different from those i took in europe - but of course, there were still some things worth noting =) for instance, there were a couple of interesting announcements when i was on the flight..
before we got off the ground: "smoking is prohibited in the aircraft", and, mebbe as an afterthought, "there are smoke detectors in the toilet.."
when the aircraft started cruising: "this aircraft adopts a 'no outside food' policy, food and drinks are available at reasonable rates.." rm3 for a cup of hot milo? yeah right.
when the aircraft experienced turbulence: "we are going through a bad weather, would all passengers go back to their seats and put on their seatbelts.." never knew that weather can be quantified - it's so hot right now, i wish i could have a rain soon =)
before the plane touched down: "passengers are reminded that the stealing of life jackets is a serious offence.." -______-"
hmm on hindsight, mebbe there were similar announcements on the ryanair and easyjet flights i took to various destinations in europe, but since i could at most understand half of what they were saying (cos when i flew to germany, they used german on top of english; to france, french; etc etc), i may have missed similar announcements =)
also, on both my flights, i reached my destination 15 minutes earlier than expected - "expected" being 60 minutes long - hmm do speed tickets apply to aircrafts also? =) haha not that i'm complaining, i'm more than happy to be able to reach my destinations earlier =)
